Xiaomi's sub-brand, Redmi, added another device to the number series in India. The Redmi 10A has been unveiled in the country’s budget smartphone market as a successor to the previously launched Redmi 9A. However, there are very few notable changes and the rest of the specifications such as the processor and the camera sensor are the same as its predecessor.
Redmi 10A in India: Specifications
The Redmi 10A is a dual-SIM handset which runs on the MIUI 12.5 based on Android and sports a 6.53 inch HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. The handset gets its power from the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset which has been packed under the hood along with 4 GB RAM.
As mentioned, the 10A sports a 13 megapixel camera sensor on the back which is similar to its predecessor and on the front, it has a 5 megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. For connectivity, the all-new Redmi 10A includes Wi-Fi 6, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS/A-GPS and a micro-USB port along with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The onboard sensors include a fingerprint scanner which has been provided on the rear. The Redmi 10A is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports standard 10 W charging.

Redmi 10A in India: Price and availability
The newly launched Redmi 10A costs Rs 8,499 in India for the 3 GB RAM/32 GB internal storage variant while the variant with 4 GB RAM/64 GB internal storage costs Rs 9,499. The customers can purchase the Redmi 10A from the official website of Xiaomi; however, the handset will be available in Slate Grey, Sea Blue and Charcoal Black colour options from April 26.
