Renesas Electronics Corporation is changing how designers construct sensor-connected IoT applications with various new solutions aimed at faster design cycles, improved accuracy, and lower system costs.
As well as the new HS4XXX family of relative humidity and temperature sensors, it is introducing the ZSSC3281 sensor signal conditioning (SSC) IC for extremely accurate amplification, digitisation, and sensor-specific correction of sensor signals. These new products complement its comprehensive MCU portfolio and embedded AI solutions.
The sensor design process is supported by the company’s unique system design platform that greatly eases the prototyping of IoT systems. The Quick-Connect IoT system comprises of standardised boards and interfaces, allowing designers to quickly and easily connect a broad range of sensors to MCU/MPU development boards. The new system also provides portable core software building blocks between boards, significantly reducing coding needs. Now, instead of writing and testing hundreds of lines of driver code, designers only require to graphically select their sensor and write a few lines of code. All the integration and setup effort happen behind the scenes, lessening the time to a working solution.
