For the development of sensor-based IoT applications, Renesas introduces new sensors and signal conditioning ICs with quick-connect system, which are designed for fast design cycles, high accuracy and low total costs.New sensor solutions for IoT applications complement both the sensor and SSC as well as the MCU portfolio and the embedded AI solutions.(Image: Renesas)The new HS4XXX family of relative humidity and temperature sensors with a quiescent current of 0.010 µA allows relative humidity to be measured (with an accuracy) of ±1.5%, the temperature sensor accuracy is typically ±0.2 °C.Their average power consumption is 0.3 µA for 8-bit resolution at a 3.3 V supply voltage. They are housed in a 2.5 × 2.5 × 0.9 mm3 DFN (8-LGA) package. In addition to the new sensor family, the manufacturer's IoT solutions include the sensor signal conditioning (SSC) IC ZSSC3281 for high-precision signal amplification, digitization and sensor-specific correction of sensor signals. It includes a two-channel analog front end and an integrated Arm-based MCU with onboard processing power for sensor signal processing. Two ADCs running in parallel achieve a resolution of up to 24 bits.In addition to a measurement scheduler and advanced interrupt and diagnostic functions, the SSC has digital interfaces including I²C, SPI and OWI (One Wire Interface) and a 4-20 mA current loop output. The development process of IoT systems is supported by a Quick Connect IoT system. This system consists of standardized boards and interfaces that allow developers to quickly and easily connect a wide range of sensors to MCU/MPU development boards. It also has basic software building blocks that are portable between different boards.Developers only have to select their sensor graphically and write a few lines of code. All integration and configuration work takes place in the background.I agree to being informed by all-electronics via email about magazines, online offers, products, events and downloads from the industry media network.I also agree to the evaluation of my use of the newsletter to optimize the product range.I can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future by unsubscribing from the newsletter.I have read and acknowledged the data protection information.By registering, I accept the terms of use of the portals in the industry media network.I have taken note of the data protection declaration.Arcadiastrasse 10 40472 Düsseldorf Germanysenswork's VisionCommander software for deep learning, 2D and 3D inspection offers easy operation and high performance for automatic inline inspection.Read more...The ongoing automation trend and additional orders due to the Ukraine war meant that the upward trend that began in 2021 at Komax continued in the first half of 2022.Read more...ATX Hardware welcomes two new managing directors: Robert Schulz and Markus Rauch will manage the business of the medium-sized test adapter manufacturer.Read more...teamtechnik machines and systems GmbH
